AI projects for carbon reduction funded by UK

The government has committed to backing eight projects driven by artificial intelligence (AI) that aim to address carbon dioxide emissions.

The funding is allocated as part of the Artificial Intelligence for Decarbonisation Innovation Programme, which aims to leverage AI technologies to boost the use of renewable energy, enhance energy efficiency, and optimise transportation systems.

These projects cover a wide array of applications, such as improving weather forecasting for solar energy generation, optimiaing energy consumption in buildings using IoT sensors, and streamlining operations of electric fleets.
