The National Engineering Policy Centre (NEPC), led by the Royal Academy of Engineering, has published a green paper joint response to the UK government’s Invest 2035 strategy. The response has been developed in collaboration with Professional Engineering Institutions, including IGEM.

This report looks at hydrogen as a highly versatile energy vector that could be used in many hard-to-decarbonise sectors where other energy vectors, such as electricity, may not be suitable – for example, in certain industrial direct-firing processes.

IGEM have partnered with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on a report assessing the engineering risks and uncertainties of ‘Transitioning to hydrogen’.
