Dual Registration for Gas Engineers and Technicians: Enhance Your Professional Status with IGEM and the Engineering Council
If you’re a gas engineering professional already registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or Engineering Technician (EngTech) with the Engineering Council through another institution you could be eligible for dual registration with the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM).
You will need to have gas related experience and demonstrate the following:
- Details of your career and current role - the gas engineering aspect of your practice does not have to be a major part of your role but should be an integral part and not such a small part as to be insignificant
- Provide a record of CPD activities and a plan for future professional development with particular emphasis on aspects relevant to gas engineering
Why Choose Dual Registration with IGEM?
Achieving dual registration allows gas engineers to strengthen their professional status, gain access to a dedicated gas engineering network, and stay up to date with the latest industry standards and best practices.
Benefits of Dual Registration for Gas Engineers and Technicians:
- Boost Your Professional Status: Enhance your engineering qualifications by adding sector-specific recognition from IGEM.
- Expand Your Network: Connect with gas engineering professionals, employers, and influencers across the UK and beyond.
- Access Tailored Development: Benefit from gas-focused training courses, seminars, and knowledge-sharing events.
- Stay Current with Industry Trends: Receive the latest updates in gas engineering standards, safety, and best practice.
- Improve Career Opportunities: Dual registration showcases both engineering competence and gas sector expertise, making you a more attractive candidate for senior roles and promotions
