This Gas Industry Standard* sets out requirements for Pig traps, Insulation Joints (IJs), Test ends and Pigs for use on steel pipeline systems operating on natural gas pressures greater than 7 bar and normally in the temperature range -20°C to 50°C. *Hereinafter referred to as 'this specification'.
