Energy Secretary sets out strategy for UK energy supply

The UK's Energy Secretary has made a logical decision to strengthen the country's energy supply during the transition to net zero.

The government has announced a plan to back the construction of new gas power stations, ensuring a secure and dependable energy source for days when renewable energy generation is insufficient due to weather conditions.

The UK stands out among other major economies for its remarkable efforts in reducing emissions. Since 1990, the UK has successfully cut its emissions by half, surpassing the EU's 30% reduction.
