The South West Section invite you to their Showcase event, Hydrogen Transition: Preparing for a sustainable future.
The event will be split in to two parts. The first will focus on exhibiting the work that is currently under way across the industry in the development of tools, techniques and innovations that are improving the way our industry operates, preparing it for the future.
The second half of the event will focus on the plans and initiatives under development that will further the transition of the industry to hydrogen. We will welcome speakers from Wales & West Utilities that are signatories to the Hydrogen Southwest Consortium who will present the strategy to utilise hydrogen in the region. The event will also welcome speakers who have a leading role in proving hydrogen for heat and supporting the complex transition of the industries commercial arrangements.
Attended by professionals from across the industry, there will be opportunities to network and share ideas.
The following speakers have been confirmed:
David Bartram-Shaw, Chief AI Officer, Mesh- AI, will be presenting the opportunities of AI and machine learning in transforming the energy and utilities sector
Darren Cushen, Net Zero Portfolio Manager, Wales & West Utilities will be presenting on Hydrogen for heat focussing on the progression of the Redcar project
Matt Hindle, Head of Net Zero & Sustainability at Wales & West Utilities will be presenting the vision for Hydrogen in the Southwest
Richard Pomroy, Regulation Manager, Wales & West Utilities will be presenting on the complex transition of the industries commercial arrangements
Phil Smith, Business West, will be presenting 'Developing the skills to serve the hydrogen world'.
