UK allocates £960m to support clean energy manufacturing

The UK Government has promised to allocate £960 million towards establishing a Green Industries Growth Accelerator, demonstrating its dedication to enhancing the production of clean energy.

The investment seeks to bolster the growth of clean energy supply chains, prioritising crucial sectors like carbon capture, utilization and storage, electricity networks, hydrogen, nuclear, and offshore wind.

In light of the announcement, Claire Mack, the Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, conveyed a sense of hopefulness regarding the capacity of clean energy investment to foster the growth of sustainable employment opportunities and deliver environmentally friendly electricity to households and enterprises.
