Project Name: Wickham Way

Project Reference Number: SOE13338
Project Network: SGN

Scheme background: The project was SGN/WCB and Thames Water/Morrison water services working collaboratively in the same area. Although the works were within the Bromley Borough. These are both mains replacement schemes.

Between the planned conference calls, TW, Morrison water services and ourselves held other meetings to keep the momentum up and had both organisations discussing roles & responsibilities, such as cost sharing, TM plans, who excavates and who reinstates the area. We shared TM during this project closing 2 roads on a 5 way roundabout

The project started on 2nd April 2024 and took approximately 2 weeks to complete. SGN/WCB inserted 102m of 180 mm PE, 1m of 250mm PE and abandoned 133m of 4” CI and 103m of 8” CI main. We renewed all gas services during these works, we used a vac ex to excavate all service and connection holes. SGN temporary backfilled and reinstated the holes as resurfacing was following on.
