Project Name: Foxley Lane
Scheme background: he project was SGN/JDT and was part of Croydon council resurfacing scheme, works were situated in the London borough of Bromley. Between the planned conference calls with JDT, Bromley council ourselves held other meetings to keep the momentum up and had both organisations discussing roles & responsibilities.
This was project was highlighted through the Croydon councils resurfacing scheme, SGN created a project to carry out essential gas main and service replacement. Croydon council followed on and resurfaced as our works finished. Croydon granted an early start on our permit.
The project started on 22nd July 24 and took approximately 6 weeks to complete. SGN/JDT Live inserted a total of 669 of 90mm and 125mm PE and abandoned 791m of 6” and 8” CI main. We renewed all gas services during these works, we used a vac ex to excavate all service and connection holes. SGN temporary backfilled and reinstated the holes as resurfacing was following on.
