The Innovating to Net Zero 2024 report by Energy Systems Catapult found that net zero by 2050 can be delivered through the rapid deployment of low-regret technologies and accelerated innovation in novel clean tech.

The report is the second 'state of energy innovation' report from the Catapult and creates four future scenarios of Clockwork, Patchwork, Homework and Dreamwork.

These use the peer-reviewed Energy System Modelling Environment (ESME) to explore 3,600 different net zero compliant energy system pathways.
