Gas Industry Standard specifies requirements for gland seals for insertion of polyethylene pipe into a metallic main under live gas conditions. The gland seals specified are suitable for use on low pressure (LP) mains in the size range from 100 mm (4 in) to 450 mm (18 in) diameter.
