£200m Welsh Government contract secured by British Gas
British Gas has successfully obtained a £200 million agreement with the Welsh Government to prolong its involvement in the Warm Homes initiative for an additional seven years.
Managed by British Gas since 2011, the initiative has aided over 60,300 low-income households with energy efficiency upgrades and offered guidance to an additional 210,800 households.
The upcoming initiative is scheduled to launch on 1 April, focusing on low carbon technologies such as insulation and renewable energy to assist Wales in reaching its target of net zero emissions by 2050.
