To a certain degree, GDN's know how reliable the physical aspects of the network are; know how equipment and materials will perform, for how long, and what maintenance is required to keep them running as planned. But do we apply this level of rigour and understanding to the people within the networks?
Often, it is the skills, knowledge and experience of the employees that we rely upon in order to create our networks and keep them running smoothly. As such, it's important we understand what can make them more or less reliable.
