The Company Members bring you a technical seminar, held at IGEM House, Kegworth. This seminar will be looking at enabling more green gas into networks. This includes discussion on biomethane blending, hydrogen injection, network management, and international perspectives.
We will also be looking at enabling actions for biomethane, smart pressure control, and system-wide integration.
Our keynote speaker is Alan Midwinter, Head of Biomethane Projects, SGN.
Alan is a qualified professional engineer, with extensive experience gained over a forty-five-year career working within the UK gas industry. He has pioneered and supported UK biomethane development since its inception in 2010, leading many award winning projects in this field. He is responsible for SGN CS's biogas & biomethane project portfolio, which included the development of the 1st of its kind network compressed biomethane gas (CBG) injection facility at Portsdown Hill (2014). More recently, Alan has been leading CHP conversions projects at several sites across the UK for Water companies, delivering more renewable biomethane into the UK gas distribution networks.
