• 30 years working with British Gas, Transco and National Grid and the last 15 years working with Gastech Engineering Ltd as an independent consultant largely for gas metering and utilisation projects.

• Meter Asset Management with experience with CoMCoP including operations, specification, procurement, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.

• Gas Distribution and Transmission systems, specification, installation, commissioning, maintenance, surveillance, and emergency response.

• Technical support to gas meter operators for compliance audits, document development, competence review

• Chair of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers Gas Measurement Committee and member of the Technical Coordinating Committee, working on standard development panels for GM/5, 6 (Chair), 7 and 8 (Chair).

• Expert (25 years) in gas metering, dealing with billing disputes and analysis of metering systems.

• Provision of design and engineering services in respect of Gas Metering, Gas Distribution pipe systems and pressure controls, Systems Maintenance, Pressure control equipment and Hazardous Areas to GM/7, SR/25 and UP/16.

• Management of Gas Pressure Systems as PSSR Competent Person, inspection and preparation of Written Schemes, Responsible Engineer for Safe Control of Operations

• Independent compliance audits, CoMCoP (Meter Asset Managers and Installers, ASPCoP (Automatic Meter Reading), MOCOPA (Electricity Meters) and GIRS (Gas Distribution Infrastructure).

• Technical and Management Consultancy, particularly, Incident investigation and reporting, competence assessment.

• Detailed knowledge of consumer piping, pressure control and safety systems, working to IGEM/UP/1, UP/2, UP/16, GM/5, 6, 7 and 8, BS EN 1775, BS EN 15001, BS 6400 and BS 6891.
