How our standards are produced

The production and review of technical standards is managed by the technical services team based at IGEM House. They are supported by an extensive network of volunteer gas professionals with a broad range of knowledge and expertise combined with many years of industry experience.

These individuals sit on the technical committees that guide the production of new standards and the review of existing ones. We currently have the following technical committees:

  • Gas Measurement Committee
  • Gas Transmission and Distribution Committee
  • Gas Utilisation Committee
  • Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Committee

These four committees are overseen by our Technical Co-ordinating Committee. Full details of all of these committees and IGEM’s other, non-technical committees and panels can be found on the Council and Committees page.
