Gas industry experts from across Scotland came together for an innovative and hands-on tour filled with demonstrations surrounding the topic of gas detection and safety.

This informative event, hosted by the IGEM Scottish Section, was held at Glasgow’s Gas Measurement Instruments Limited (GMI) and comprised multiple short presentations and a factory tour.

The presentations each focused on a niche area of gas detection and the tools used for the job, providing a rare, informative and thorough look into the inner workings of the gas detection tools on the market and their development processes.

Each presentation was led by industry experts in their field, allowing for a brief yet in-depth exploration of topics usually overshadowed by larger projects.

The audience included representatives from Energy Assets, GMI, Rush Construction Services Ltd, Perfect Dimensions Ltd, ULC Robotics, SGN and Gas Safe Register.

The IGEM Scottish Section was proud to host this invaluable learning opportunity alongside GMI, helping those in the gas industry to expand their knowledge.
