The North West Section Chair is Glenn Halton, an accomplished Gas Industry Professional with a track-record in the Engineering, Design and Construction of Gas Storage, Transmission and Distribution Pipelines and associated network infrastructure.
In his current role as Business Development Manager for United Living Infrastructure Services (ULIS), Glenn supports the delivery of construction services through ULIS subsidiaries Fastflow Energy Services and Fastflow Pipeline Services. The combination of these two businesses delivers a broad range of gas, water and multi-utility infrastructure services to residential, business customers and blue-chip clients including National Grid, Northumbrian Water, Cadent, Scotia Gas, Scottish Water and Yorkshire Water.
Glenn’s previous career history includes both Director and Senior Manager roles for a number of major Engineering Consultancies and Design Organisations in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries including ABB Eutech, Parsons Brinckerhoff and WSP. Major accomplishments during his career included the delivery of technical due-diligence services for oil & gas network divestments and acquisitions in the UK, Spain, Italy and Hungary.
Glenn is passionate about reducing the effect of climate change and the theme for his tenure as NW Chair is on “Building a Net Zero Future”. Activities during the year will include a focus on building a sustainable workforce, promoting apprenticeships, STEM, and increasing diversity and inclusion across the gas industry. Planned events will also include knowledge transfer and networking events through subject matter including decarbonisation, Hydrogen, R&D Projects (with Net Zero focus) and the adoption of pipeline welding technology for hydrogen transportation systems.

I will help ensure that the membership is well served by the committee through the planning and delivery of high-quality events and networking opportunities”
