Serving the Oil & Gas industry worldwide, I am a Professional Process Safety Engineer registered with the Institution of Chemical Engineers and on their Environment Professionals register.  I also lecture on accident consequence analysis for the IChemE.

I have given evidence at Planning Inquiries into new oil and gas installations or pipelines, developments near such facilities and also at Public Inquiries into Major Accidents. I have also written technical expert reports for civil and criminal litigation.

Particular areas of expertise include planning advice for COMAH establishments and Major Hazard Pipelines, other aspects of COMAH including Safety Reports.  I am an adviser to the Irish Government on all aspects of risk from upstream oil and gas activities.
