The valves are for use as line valves up to 16 bar MOP (maximum operating pressure) or construction valves up to 7 bar MOP and the MOP of the valve shall be specified in the purchase order.

This Gas Industry Standard (GIS) specifies requirements relating to fittings for pipe connections to in-pipe close fit lined pipes operating at a maximum working pressure of up to 2 bar. It applies to connections to grey cast iron, ductile iron and steel distribution pipes with either lead yarn or mechanical type joints.

This Gas Industry Specification (GIS) specifies requirements relating to metallic-bodied fittings for connecting ancillary fittings such as service fittings, plugs, by-pass riders and flow stop equipment to steel, grey or ductile cast iron in-pipe close fit lined pipes at pressures not greater than 2 bar.

This Gas Industry Standard specifies the requirements for materials, design, performance and testing of mechanical fittings in the nominal size range 16 mm to 800 mm inclusive intended for use with polyethylene (PE) pipe conforming to GIS/PL2-2 or GIS/PL2-8 of the same nominal size and at operating temperatures from –20°C to +40°C.

This part of GIS/PL2 specifies requirements for squeeze-off tools and equipment used in the maintenance of polyethylene systems constructed from pipe of nominal size 16 mm to 630 mm inclusive and conforming to GIS/PL2-2.

This Gas Industry Standard specifies requirements for construction, operation and testing of electrofusion control boxes and associated cables. The control boxes are intended for use with fittings produced in accordance with BS EN 1555-3:2002 and GIS/PL2-4.

This standard supplements and amends the requirements for pipeline valves produced in accordance with EN13942:2009. The requirements of EN13942:2009 shall apply except where modified by this standard.

This Gas Industry Standard specifies the design of marker posts for pipelines operating above 2 barg. Where appropriate these designs may also be used on pipelines operating below 2 barg.

This Gas Industry Standard specifies requirements for the construction, performance and safety of brass-bodied manually operated ball valves and open-bottomed taper plug valves in the ¾” to 2” diameter range and their associated sealing caps.
