Thank you for shaping our RIIO-2 business plan

On 9 December we submitted our stakeholder-led business plan for RIIO-2 covering the period April 2021 to March 2026 to Ofgem, the independent stakeholder user group and the RIIO-2 Challenge Group. We recognise the considerable effort of all our stakeholders in helping to shape the plan, and we are very grateful. This was a significant milestone as we move into a period where we need not only to meet our stakeholders’ existing priorities of having a reliable and affordable gas network, but also to ensure our network is protected against new threats - and crucially that it supports the UK achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 (Scotland by 2045).

Continuing the conversation

While we have submitted our RIIO-2 plan, there’s still a lot to do. We would like to continue engaging with you on how we deliver on our commitments; and enabling you to shape our Gas Transmission activities in a rapidly changing external environment. We will be running a number of workshops early in 2020 to start the next phase of our conversation with you.

Why should you come to these workshops?

1. You will get a detailed understanding of WHAT we have committed to deliver and what that might mean for you. We will share what happens next and how to get your voice heard throughout
2. You can help shape HOW we will deliver those commitments, including how we will continue to embed your voice into our business.
3. You will EXPLORE key topics such as the road to net zero and our Environmental Action Plan
