A new feature this year for our Annual Conference will be the session run by and for our Young Persons Network (YPN), during which our younger gas professionals will carry out a series of online workshops alongside industry leaders to explore what needs to be done to encourage young engineers into our industry.
This is a free of charge event
Hydrogen is expected to play a significant role in the transition to net-zero due to its ability to assist in large-scale decarbonisation of numerous heavy emitting sectors.
Throughout this interactive session, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about hydrogen technologies from experts in the field.
Taking a whole systems approach, the event offers presentations on numerous components of the hydrogen network including production, transmission, distribution, storage and utilisation.
In between presentations, participants will be assigned to breakout groups where they can work together with peers to identify and discuss potential solutions to challenges faced by the hydrogen industry – as specifically identified by our speakers.
If you have a budding interest in hydrogen and are looking for an event which is equally engaging as it is stimulating, then this is the one for you.
Please note that this event is exclusively for IGEM YPN members and YPN eligible non- members aged 18 to 35.
