Our members, along with colleagues from across the gas sector, are invited to join us for five days of learning and debate. Sessions will be broken up into two themes so you can tailor your conference experience to suit your needs:

Enabling the Transition will focus on some of the biggest challenges associated with the UK’s transition to a zero carbon economy: how we heat our homes, how to convert the existing gas network infrastructure to carry alternative energy vectors such as hydrogen, and how we can deliver these fuels via the national transmission system.

Transition in Action will focus on low carbon and hydrogen projects within four of the UK industrial clusters. With presentations from all of the gas networks plus key supply partners we will explore what is happening in Scotland, North East and Humberside, the North West and South Wales as each area enters an exciting new phase.

We are excited to announce that Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP, Minister of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, will be delivering the keynote address for this year’s Conference. Kwasi's presentation will outline the ambitions and policy of the government in relation to clean energy and the transition.

In addition, CEO of the Committee on Climate Change Chris Stark will be bringing his previously shelved Sir Denis Rooke Memorial Lecture to the Annual Conference. He’ll be talking about the UK’s goal for net zero emissions and the very difficult choices that face us when it comes to what we do about heat in buildings. Chris will be dissecting the polarising debate over the best way to achieve zero carbon heat and the compelling case for uniting the electricity and gas advocates in search of a common goal. Please note: you will need to book separately for this event here.
