IGEM has a network of Sections that enhances membership by
offering a local perspective and enabling involvement with issues
in and around the gas industry. The Sections are run by volunteers
who organise a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
events and networking opportunities.
Each Section has its own Chairperson and Secretary to deal with
any queries you may have within your area.
Chair Wales Section
Adrian has been in the gas industry
since 1991, and started as a distribution mate carrying out main
laying, service laying and leakage activities for 10 years.
During this time he became first a distribution fitter, then a
distribution craftsman. In 2001 he took up the opportunity to be
trained as an emergency service engineer. He worked in this role
for four years, undertaking all first call and emergency
In 2006 he became a first line manager for mains replacement,
capital expenditure work and leakage activities.
In 2009 Adrian moved into the asset health and safety team as an
asset support manager where he manages the process safety,
standards and assurance team.
During his career, Adrian has gained ONC, HNC and BEng (Hons) in
Adrian is currently an Associate Member of IGEM, however has
