Professional Development

Professional Development (PD), is the overall process of learning, developing skills and the training required to work at a professional level. PD is a generic term that covers the Initial Professional Development (IPD) and the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) areas of work.

IPD covers the training requirements from the period of studentship to registration, whereas CPD covers the training and lifelong learning from the period of registration throughout an individual's career.
