Welcome to IGEM Membership
Established by Royal Charter in 1929, IGEM is the principle representative body for professional gas engineers in the UK and our enduring objective is to promote engineering excellence within the gas industry. This has enabled huge advances in safety, technology and most importantly the training and qualification of gas engineers.
IGEM is licensed by the Engineering Council for the award and retention of Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and Engineering Technician (EngTech) professional titles. Applying rigorous standards of professional competence and ethics we provide continuing development and recognition of gas engineering expertise.
