IGEM has a diverse membership that ranges from students through to qualified professionals in all disciplines to the interested and involved retired community and our membership structure provides for entry at any level of qualification and at any stage in your career. Fellow

Fellow is the highest electable and transferable grade of membership. It is awarded to senior engineers who by their attainment have acquired an established reputation as an engineer and have been engaged for a sufficient period in an important position of responsibility to which they have bought superior knowledge position of responsibility and practice of an engineering discipline.

Entry Requirements

  • Hold a degree level qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Must be a Chartered Engineer with IGEM.
  • Is engaged at the time of application in a senior industry position in the Gas Industry for at least five years.
  • Is in a senior position in an area of employment which has interests in common with the Gas Industry.
  • Must have significant involvement in either the Council or its supporting committees over a number of years.
  • Complies with any other conditions which may be prescribed by the Council from time to time.
