Membership Grades

This grade is for new managers in the managerial position within the gas industry who do not quite meet the requirements for Member Manager.

Entry Requirements

Every candidate for election or transfer to the class of Associate Member shall comply with the following conditions:

• Hold a management position in the gas industry; and
  
• Has obtained a minimum of 4 years work experience in the gas industry; and
  
• Show on the application for membership a personal plan of development that incorporates a clear commitment to lifelong learning and the Institution's Continuing Professional Development.

Procedures

1. Candidates should submit the application form below
2. The application must be supported by 2 Corporate Members, or greater of the Institution. Proposer and Seconder are asked to authenticate as many of the statements made by the applicant as possible.
3. Both Proposer and Seconder must authenticate all copies of certificates. Both are asked to sign that they have seen the original certificate and that they believe this to be a true and an original certificate. Failure to do so will delay the process of the application.
4. Return the completed application form with copies of certificates, documentary evidence and appropriate application fee to the Membership Department of the Institution.
5. Candidates will be notified of the result of the Membership Committee as soon as a decision has been made. Unsuccessful candidates will be given the result of their application indicating areas of weakness or reasons for failure.
