Fellow Member
Fellowship is the highest grade of membership for our Corporate
Members (Chartered Engineers, Incorporated
Engineers, Engineering Technicians and Member Managers). It is
awarded to engineers and managers who by their attainments
have acquired and established reputation as an engineer or manager
and have been engaged for a sufficient period in an important
position of responsibility to which they have brought superior
knowledge and practice.
Fellows are entitled to use the letters CEng FIGEM, IEng FIGEM,
EngTech FIGEM or FIGEM (as applicable) after their name.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Every candidate for transfer to the class of Fellow shall comply
with the following conditions:
- Be a Corporate Member (MIGEM) with the Institution
- Held for at least five years at the time of the application a
position and level of responsibility in the Gas Industry
appropriate to Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer,
Engineering Technician or Member Manager
- Should have significant involvement in either
the Council or its supporting Committees over a number of
years
- The scrutineers or Membership Committee may in certain
circumstances recommend that an interview is required. If so the
applicant by interview shall satisfy two existing Fellows of the
Institution, that he/she is suitable for admittance into the Class
of Fellow
- Comply with any other conditions which may be prescribed by the
Council from time to time.

your application
- Submit completed Fellow application Form and
relevant application fee to Membership Services
All applications are referred to the Membership Committee for
election and candidates will be notified of the
result of the Membership Committee as soon as a decision has been
made.
