IGEM Flame - Keep Enlightened

Lesley Ecob - PA to the CEO

Dear Reader ,

Welcome to the January edition of the IGEM Flame, our e-newsletter. On behalf of the IGEM Secretariat I would like to wish you all a happy and prosperous 2009!

January is a busy month for IGEM Secretariat as we process membership subscriptions and organise our events for the year. This month we also welcome Claire McHugh to the team; Claire joins us as Membership Officer and will be heavily involved in getting out to events and recruiting new members.

In 2009, we are particularly looking forward to moving into our new office building in Kegworth; this is scheduled to take place at the beginning of April but the building will be officially opened at our AGM on 7 May. You can view the location of the new office by clicking here. The building is currently being refurbished to meet our requirements but you can view some photos of the outside here. The building includes three meeting rooms which will be available for hire by IGEM Industrial Affiliate Members at very competitive rates – to enquiry about this new facility please contact rebecca@igem.org.uk.

Remember, "Keep enlightened with IGEM Flame!"

Yours sincerely, Lesley Ecob
