Welcome to the July edition of the IGEM Flame, our e-newsletter.
My name is Carol Baxter and I am IGEM’s Advertising Sales Assistant. I joined IGEM at the end of May to take on the advertising sales side of Gemma Tunnicliffe’s role.

The IGEM Flame will keep you informed on the latest events throughout the year. 28 July - Scottish Section - Technical Visit - Danny O'Malley Section Chairman, has arranged an IGEM Section Technical Visit to the NGG Compressor Station at Avonbridge. Places are limited so please book in advance by contacting the Chairman - Danny.O'Malley@Scotiagasnetworks.co.uk. 5 - 9 October - World Gas Conference - The 24th World Gas Conference will be held in Argentina this autumn. Visit the IGEM website for more information or www.wgc2009.com. 5 November - Gas 2009 - This one day seminar, organised jointly with the SBGI, will focus on 'Sustaining a pivotal role in a new energy future'. November 2009 - In November IGEM House will play host to a new Industrial Affiliates technical event. Gas Qualified Supervisors and Gas Distribution Construction Engineers - North London / East Anglia Based.
Skanska in conjunction with National Grid is undertaking a multi-million pound gas mains replacement programme within the North London area and East Anglia. Known as the 'Gas Alliance' the contract is in its fifth year of eight with a potential extension of a further five years. As a result of a significant increase in workload, a number of vacancies have arisen for Supervisors (CP's) and Construction Engineers (AE's) in various locations within North London and East Anglia. |
